Dr Rosenstock is associated with the Dallas Diabetes and Endocrine Center, an endocrine practice and clinical research facility. He is also a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He is a member of numerous professional societies and the former president of the Greater Dallas Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and the Texas Diabetes and Endocrine Association. He serves as Co-chair of CADRE's Slide Kit subcommittee, and is a member of CADRE's Educational Outreach subcommittee.

Dr Rosenstock's clinical and research activities have focused on intensive diabetes management strategies and novel therapies to improve glycemic control and to prevent and retard diabetes complications. His current main interest is early insulin intervention with combination strategies to reach glycemic targets in type 2 diabetes mellitus. He has more than 130 publications, including peer-reviewed papers and numerous abstracts and has also contributed to 8 book chapters on various topics in the field of diabetes. He is a former editorial member of Clinical Diabetes and Endocrine Practice and is currently an editorial board member of Practical Diabetology and Cardiovascular Diabetology.

Dr Rosenstock received his medical degree from the University of Costa Rica School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in endocrinology and diabetes at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital in London and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He is board certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology and metabolism.
