Jack L. Leahy is Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, University of Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington, Vermont. The author and coauthor of numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, as well as coeditor of Medical Management of Diabetes Mellitus (Marcel Dekker, Inc.), Dr. Leahy is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Society of Clinical Investigation, the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, and The Endocrine Society. He received a BSc degree (1973) from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and an MD degree (1977) from the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia.
William T. Cefalu is Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington, Vermont. The author and coauthor of more than 85 journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts, as well as coeditor of Medical Management of Diabetes Mellitus (Marcel Dekker, Inc.), Dr. Cefalu is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, The Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association, among others. He received a BS degree (1975) in biology from Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, Louisiana, and an MD degree (1979) from Louisiana State University Medical Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.
